RUNWAY MODELS, CADILLACS AND LIQUOR BOTTLES

H&M s/s 10

TOPSHOP S/S 10

Whilst it may not be 'SPRING' outside , it the world of fashion its defiantly arrived...so what are you waiting for crack out your white skinny's, RayBan sunnies, and loose the big wool hat , for a straw trilby .

As i was doing my daily browsing i accidentally clicked on a link and TOPSHOP's S/S collection popped up .. as much i love it, i must admit there isn't really a story behind it except that it looks like they have raided Alexa Chung's and Pixie's wardrobes. The styling is too boring for me although i do Love the jersey harem pants...amazing ( or should i say carrot fit as that's the new title). The flowery patters are very beautiful, and i adore the big scarves made into bows in the models hair( as you know give me a vintage Hermes scarf, and massive sunglasses and I'm on a roll) ...But i J'ADORE H&M's s/s collection ( no surprise there ah?)Spring is in the air at Hennes ,with floral prints, bright colors, white on white, ethnic prints, khaki, statement jewelry and sunglasses, the collection is a must and will be a massive hit with all the up town girls.
The only sad thing is that most of the collection( pretty much all of it ) is from the TREND department that only selected (LONDON,BRISTOL,BIRMINGHAM, MANCHESTER) stores do.

Check out the pic from both of the collections and decided which one u love the best girls(H&M...H&M....)

P.S I FORGOT TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE EXTREMELY ANNOYING ARTICLE I READ IN 'THE EVENING STANDARD' THE OTHER DAY ---WHY ARE PEOPLE PICKING ON H&M BECAUSE SOMEONE FOUND A BAG OF ITEMS OUTSIDE TH NEW YORK STORE...I MEAN WHAT ABOUT PRIMARK...YOU CAN BUY A DRESS,BAG,TIGHTS,AND ACCESSORIES ALL FOR £20!! DOESN'T THAT MAKE YOU THINK WHERE AND HOW IT WAS MADE?/.....oh and if you would buy an entire outfit form Primarchhheey you wouldn't look good either, trust me girlfriend!

  1. Annoying article, are you mad?

It is clear sweatshops exist as it is now clear that major fashion retailers would rather destroy clothes than donate them. As you rightly highlight most consumers are well aware of these practises but still purchase from shops employing children and paying them fuck all. This does not mean they support it though.

There are many reasons why these methods are overlooked in our capatalist socities, however, to agree with such practises by questioning why people are publically addressing them is a mistake. The only way things will change is through growing consumer pressure in a market where PR is everything.

And to claim H&M is being picked on is naive. Primark has probably recieved the most negative press in the last couple of years, including TV coverage for the way it produces goods. The only reason this story has got so big is because it has never been seen before.

    Love.x
